Post-pandemic travel has been very tricky for international students as there are new regulations on border opening, vaccine requirements and visa process almost everyday. Well, finally we have some good news for you as fully vaccinated international students can travel to Australia from 15 December 2021, without needing to apply for a travel exemption. All international arrivals including international students must comply with Australia travel declaration including quarantine, pre-arrival and post-arrival requirements in the state or territory they plan to travel to.

If you are an international traveller vaccinated in Australia, you will need to show airline staff your International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (ICVC) to the airline staff. If you were vaccinated overseas and do not have an ICVC, you will need to present a foreign vaccination certificate that meets all of the requirements outlined on the Australian Passport Office website.
International students will be considered to be fully vaccinated travellers if they have completed a course of a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
